Summary: Our client, a leading Fortune 500 financial and payments technology company, is seeking to hire an Accountant for a fully remote position. The role requires strong accounting experience and a solid understanding of accounting principles, with responsibilities including maintaining accounting systems and ensuring compliance with regulations. Candidates should have approximately 3-4 years of relevant experience and a degree in accounting, with CPA preferred.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develops, implements and/or maintains one or more accounting systems: Journal entries, General Ledger, Accounts Receivables, Accounts Payable, Fixed Assets, etc.
  • Monitors and develops monthly reports of revenues and expenditures for projects.
  • Provides record of assets, liabilities and other financial transactions.
  • Reviews, tracks and maintains asset information in the financial systems, ensuring accuracy and compliance with US GAAP and other accounting regulations.

Key Skills:

  • Accounting experience is highly preferred
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles is important
  • Familiarity with assets, P&L, and balance sheets
  • Ability to research discrepancies and follow data trails with strong intuition
