Summary: The role of Accountant (Business Analyst) involves working within a growing FinTech SaaS company to transform product vision into actionable user stories and specifications. Key Responsibilities:
- Work with internal/external stakeholders (including customers) to understand needs and gather requirements
- Carry out legislative research to ensure products remain compliant with regulatory changes
- Carry out product research to identify market requirements and new opportunities for innovation
- Translate requirements into specifications and user stories (training provided for those from a Practice background)
- Collaborate with product team and colleagues
- Actively participate in agile meetings and delivery of new products and features
- Develop expertise in software functionality and processes
Key Skills:
- 3+ years' as a Qualified Accountant in an Accountancy Practice or as a BA in a SaaS / desktop software product
- Experience researching and understanding legislation changes
- Experience of gathering requirements or working on software / technology projects
- Knowledge / experience of Accounts Production
- Strong management of stakeholder relationships (internal and external)
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Strong customer focus i.e. solving customer needs
- Keen interest in software and technology
