Summary: The Accessibility Web Engineer role focuses on designing and implementing web accessibility standards to ensure compliance with Section 508 and WCAG 2.2 Level AA. Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement web accessibility standards and requirements, ensuring compliance with Section 508 and WCAG 2.2 Level AA success criteria.
  • Perform both automated and manual testing using screen readers, text-to-speech tools, development tools, and color contrast validation tools.
  • Manually inspect code to validate and ensure accessible design practices across web applications.
  • Collaborate on web, mobile, and web application design, front-end development, and testing methodologies.
  • Create and refine design patterns, design systems, user flows, wireframes, and prototypes.
