Summary: This role is for clinically licensed therapists in New Mexico to provide mental health counseling services primarily to college students through TimelyCare's digital health platform. As a 1099 Licensed Clinical Therapist, the individual will collaborate with clients to develop treatment plans and guide them to additional services as needed. The position emphasizes flexibility, therapist autonomy, and a focus on motivated young adults seeking behavioral health support. The role is remote, allowing therapists to maintain a healthy work/life balance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide therapeutic counseling services and treatment planning to a primarily young adult population.
- Document concurrently and submit HIPAA compliant documentation using TimelyCare's electronic health record.
- Develop and submit treatment plans and progress notes following each session.
- Communicate cross-functionally with other teams/departments to support care continuation as needed.
- Adhere to established standards for documentation quality and code of ethics.
- Work with the student/client to establish and develop treatment goals and document accordingly.
- Utilize active listening skills and evidence-based modalities (SFBT, CBT, DBT, MI, ACT) to build rapport and progress student/client care.
- Submit appropriate documentation in the EHR in a punctual manner.
- Adapt to the changing needs of the population served.
- Remain calm and maintain composure during potential high-stress scenarios.
- Respond with empathy and professionalism, meeting clients where they are at.
- Model respectful conduct with all students, peers, and support staff.
Key Skills:
- Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW).
- Preferred: Licensed Clinical Psychologist (Ph.D. or Psy.D. in Clinical Psychology, LP/LCP).
- Active State License(s).
- Strong clinical documentation, assessment, and active listening skills.
- Experience with crisis intervention/de-escalation and safety/treatment planning.
- Background in providing services to young adults, adolescents, at-risk populations, and/or experience in community mental health, crisis triage, or college counseling environments.
