Key Responsibilities:
- Test Planning and Design: Collaborate with agile scrum team to understand project requirements, document acceptance criteria and design test plans to evaluate software deliverables; develop test suites and detailed test cases based on functional and technical specifications; participate in test strategy discussions and contribute ideas for improving testing processes; lead and participate in the development of automated test cases and test libraries using AzureDevOps Test Plans, Subject7 test automation, and other automation tools and approaches.
- Test Execution: Execute test cases manually and/or using automated testing tools; record test results and document any defects found during testing; conduct regression testing to ensure that the entire solution functions as expected after a change.
- Defect Management: Report defects in a clear and concise manner, including steps to reproduce and expected behavior; work closely with developers to investigate reported issues and verify fixes; monitor defect resolution progress and escalate unresolved issues as needed.
- Quality Assurance: Ensure that software products meet quality standards and user requirements; perform exploratory testing to uncover potential issues that may not be covered by existing test cases; contribute to the continuous improvement of QA processes and methodologies.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate documentation of test plans, test cases, and test results; create and update testing-related documentation as necessary.
- Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including developers, product managers, and business analysts; communicate effectively with team members to clarify requirements and discuss testing strategies; participate in team meetings and provide input on project status and priorities.
Key Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, or related field (or commensurate work experience).
- 4-7 years test automation experience.
- Knowledge of software testing methodologies and best practices.
- Experience with Selenium or other test automation tools and frameworks is required; experience in Subject 7 is preferred.
