100% Remote : : C2C/W2 Contract : : Senior Azure Integration Services Architect

Position Overview

We are seeking a Senior Integration Architect with 10+ years of experience to lead the hands-on migration of enterprise integration workflows from TIBCO BusinessWorks 5.x to Azure Integration Services (AIS). This is a hands-on technical architecture role where you will work directly with the Microsoft technical team, define the target-state integration architecture, select the right AIS components for each workload, and build/deploy production-grade solutions. We need a technical leader who leads by doing, not just advising.

Key Responsibilities

• Target-State Architecture: Architect the end-to-end integration platform on Azure Integration Services (Logic Apps, Azure Service Bus, API Management, Azure Functions, and Event Grid).
• TIBCO Migration Leadership: Lead the migration of legacy TIBCO BW 5.x workflows — assess each integration, define the migration strategy (lift-and-shift, re-platform, or re-architect), and execute the cutover.
• Microsoft Technical Partnership: Partner directly with Microsoft technical teams on architecture reviews, design decisions, and issue resolution as the primary technical voice on the client side.
• Standards & Governance: Establish enterprise integration standards, naming conventions, error-handling patterns, retry policies, and observability strategies for the new AIS estate.
• Hands-on Solution Delivery: Develop and configure Logic Apps workflows, Service Bus topics/subscriptions, APIM policies, and custom Azure Functions.
• Hybrid & Cloud Connectivity: Design network connectivity patterns across on-premises, hybrid, and cloud-to-cloud scenarios using VNet integration, on-premises data gateways, and private endpoints.
• CI/CD & DevOps: Build CI/CD pipelines for AIS artifacts using Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions with IaC (Bicep/ARM/Terraform).
• Documentation & Mentorship: Author architecture decision records (ADRs), migration runbooks, and technical documentation while mentoring a team of integration developers.

Required Qualifications

• Experience: 10+ years in enterprise integration architecture and development.
• Azure Integration Services Depth: 5+ years hands-on experience with Azure Integration Services — Logic Apps (Standard & Consumption), Azure Service Bus, API Management (APIM), Azure Functions, and Event Grid.
• TIBCO Migration Track Record: Proven experience leading at least one end-to-end migration from TIBCO BW 5.x/6.x to AIS or a comparable cloud-native integration platform.
• TIBCO BW 5.x Expertise: Deep understanding of TIBCO BW 5.x architecture (process definitions, shared variables, JMS/HTTP/SOAP adapters, JDBC connections, deployment descriptors) sufficient to re-map each workflow to AIS equivalents.
• Hybrid Networking: Strong knowledge of Azure networking (VNets, Private Link, NSGs, on-premises data gateways).
• DevOps & IaC: CI/CD for integration artifacts using Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions with Infrastructure-as-Code (ARM templates, Bicep, or Terraform).
• APIs & Messaging: Proficiency in RESTful API design (OpenAPI/Swagger), versioning strategies, message brokers, pub/sub patterns, and event-driven architectures.
• Communication: Excellent stakeholder management and architectural storytelling skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Certifications: Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert or Azure Integration Services-related certifications.
• Multi-Platform Experience: Exposure to MuleSoft, Dell Boomi, or webMethods in addition to TIBCO.
• Healthcare / Data Standards: Familiarity with HL7, FHIR, or EDI data standards.
• Observability: Experience with Azure Monitor, Application Insights, and Log Analytics.
• SAP Integration: Exposure to SAP integration scenarios (SAP PI/PO, CPI, or RFC/BAPI connectors via Azure).
