Summary: The Reliability Technician is responsible for conducting LDAR surveys for EPA compliance, troubleshooting and repairing emission finding technologies, and monitoring flare and tank pressure statuses. The role requires collaboration with engineering and operations teams to address surface failures and implement effective repairs. The technician will also oversee temporary chemical injection and batch chemical treatments while ensuring safety and compliance in operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- LDAR (leak detection and repair) surveys for EPA regulatory compliance, completing ~200 surveys each quarter along with associated repairs.
- Fixed wing and satellite emission finding technology response, troubleshooting, and repair.
- Twice daily flare pilot status monitoring and flare repairs.
- Twice daily tank pressure monitoring and repair of upset conditions.
- Temporary chemical injection skid coordination with vendor(s) based on application needs, including grounding equipment and pre-start up safety reviews.
- Batch chemical treatment oversight.
- Data-driven identification of surface failures/trends and root cause failure analysis to eliminate defects.
- Interface with engineering, maintenance, automation, and operations to eliminate repeat failures.
- Surface equipment troubleshooting.
- Automation (<50V) and flare system troubleshooting.
