Summary: The Release & Deployment Consultant/Manager will lead the establishment of a unified release management framework for an Enterprise-wide Transformation Programme in London. This role focuses on ensuring consistency and predictability in releases across various technologies while adhering to the organization's Change Management Policy. The successful candidate will operate in a hybrid model, requiring one day per week onsite. The position is aimed at experienced professionals who can manage complex, multi-supplier environments effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, embed, and operate a unified release management framework.
- Ensure consistency, predictability, and auditability of releases across multiple technologies and suppliers.
- Align all activities with the organization’s Change Management Policy and CAB processes.
- Stand up the operating model and transition it into a sustainable BAU "run" model.
- Coordinate release activities across multiple delivery and operations partners.
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels and chair forums.
Key Skills:
- Proven enterprise Release Management experience across multi-platform, multi-supplier environments.
- Experience in defining, authoring, and maintaining Release Strategy.
- Experience in setting up pragmatic release forums and ensuring high first-time CAB approval rates.
- Experience in publishing Release Calendars and integrating supplier plans.

Release & Deployment Consultant/Manager - 6-month Contract - London/Hybrid
My London based client is looking for an experienced Release & Deployment Manager to design, embed and operate a single, unified release management framework across an Enterprise-wide Transformation Programme. This role will bring consistency, predictability and auditability to releases spanning multiple technologies and suppliers, while aligning all activity to the organisation's Change Management Policy and CAB processes.
The Transformation Programme underpins the organisation's digital transformation across Data & Integration (Azure Data Factory, Logic Apps), Dynamics 365 CE, Adobe Experience Cloud (CDP/ACC) and the wider Azure platform.
The successful Release and Deployment Manager will be focused on standing up the operating model, proving it through live releases, and transitioning it into a sustainable BAU "run" model.
The role will require the successful candidate to be onsite at the clients London office 1 day per week.
Skills & Experience
- Proven enterprise Release Management experience across multi-platform, multi-supplier environments.
- Experience of Defining, authoring and maintaining Release Strategy, covering cadence, environments, approvals, emergency/hotfix handling and rollback.
- Experience of setting up pragmatic release forums, ensuring effective pre-socialisation and high first-time CAB approval rates.
- Experience of having ownership and of publishing Release Calendars, integrating supplier plans, internal delivery schedules and blackout windows.
- Experience of creating cross-platform cutover playbooks, Go/No-Go criteria and standard evidence packs.
- Experience of Designing and enforcing Git branching strategies at programme scale in Azure DevOps (trunk-based or justified GitFlow variants).
- Experience of Hands-on delivery of tag-based, immutable releases (tags - pipelines - environments) with linked PRs and automated evidence.
- Strong CI/CD experience for Azure Integration (ADF/Logic Apps), including parameterisation, secrets and approvals.
- Practical Dynamics 365 CE ALM experience (solutions, pipelines, environment strategy and rollback).
- Working knowledge of Adobe Experience Cloud (CDP/ACC) release propagation and evidence capture.
- Solid understanding of Change & Release governance, CAB processes and Forward Schedules of Change.
- Align all suppliers and internal teams to common calendars, runbooks, maintenance windows and release standards.
- Experience of Coordinating release activity across multiple delivery and operations partners.
- Experience of communicating with stakeholders at all levels, able to chair forums and align suppliers to shared standards.
Desirable
- Awareness of Azure platform governance and environment dependencies.
- ITIL Change/Release, Azure or DevOps certifications
