Key Responsibilities:
- Represent the organization in fitness to practise hearings and related proceedings
- Manage the preparation and presentation of complex cases, ensuring high standards and timely resolution
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure smooth case progression
- Provide guidance and supervision to junior legal colleagues, including Paralegals
- Contribute to the development of legal policies and procedures within the organization
- Stay updated on relevant legal developments and regulatory best practices
Key Skills:
- At least 3 years’ PQE as a Solicitor or Barrister (or equivalent experience)
- Strong experience in legal advocacy and case management within a regulatory context
- Ability to handle sensitive, complex cases with professionalism and confidence
- Experience working with fitness to practise procedures or similar regulatory processes
- Proven ability to manage a varied caseload while ensuring quality and timeliness
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively
- A proactive approach to legal supervision and development of junior team members
