Key Responsibilities:

  • Undertake the Registered Manager role for Tameside Children’s Homes.
  • Organize, manage, and supervise residential services for children.
  • Ensure high-quality looked after children practice through effective planning and evaluation.
  • Contribute to strategic planning and management of the service.
  • Lead the team to ensure compliance with legislation, regulations, and local procedures.
  • Continuously improve services based on service user views and performance data.

Key Skills:

  • Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare.
  • Post-qualifying experience in managing a home.
  • Broad experience in staff supervision and practice supervision.
  • Experience working with children and young people in a residential setting.
  • Experience in care planning for looked after children.
  • Professional or vocational qualification in relevant service area.
  • Management qualification or equivalent.
  • Registered Manager Status or willingness to attain it.
  • Enhanced DBS check.
