Summary: The Regional Marketing and Propositions Manager will lead the marketing strategy for Scotland and key central initiatives within the Brakes marketing team during a maternity cover period of up to 12 months. This role involves managing a small team, overseeing regional marketing plans, and collaborating with various stakeholders to enhance customer engagement and sales opportunities. Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage a team of 1.
  • Oversee the regional marketing plan, utilizing localization strategies and tools, multi-channel marketing, and external relations to enhance customer engagement.
  • Act as the marketing lead on fresh produce and meat, collaborating with stakeholders to maximize sales opportunities both online and offline.
  • Support the rollout of new service offers, providing sales enablement support, merchandise, and managing day-to-day queries from sales teams.
  • Steer and support the Marketing Executive in delivering email, organic and paid social, PPC/SEO activities that meet agreed objectives.
  • Map customer, category, and commercial insights to create a marketing plan that delivers profitable customer value.
  • Use NPS/sales/customer insights to refine plans and influence customer experience.
  • Oversee the regional and central initiatives budget, allocating spend to meet agreed KPIs.
  • Provide one-to-one coaching and development for direct reports, fostering an engaged team.

Key Skills:

  • Comprehensive marketing experience (digital, print, PR) with a strong understanding of email, web, and social media.
  • Experience working with field sales teams or equivalent to build and execute marketing plans.
  • Project management experience with the ability to manage multiple stakeholders.
