Regional Key Account Manager, Oncology (North East)

Role: Full-time, 12 month FTC

Location: North East, England

The Role:

Achievement of sales revenue targets for Accord oncology brands covering key accounts across a defined region. This is a true account management role where you will be responsible for a growing portfolio of products, including the launch of a new chemical entity for Lung cancer and an innovative prostate cancer medicine with the potential to redefine treatment pathways and patient experience. You will be required to identify key secondary care decision makers across your region and build appropriate business relationships with oncology consultants, clinical pharmacists, specialist CNS`s and strategic networks to deliver positive market access - including formularies, guidelines, and shared care protocols. You’ll gain a comprehensive understanding of our products and services and develop effective regional plans to ensure achievement of sales and key performance objectives for the oncology portfolio. You’ll maintain robust account plans; participate in customer segmentation and targeting and support all marketing initiatives and activities. The flexibility to engage with customers remotely as well as the need for regular travel across the territory is essential for this role.

Development of Regional Account Business Plans:

Developing and executing an effective business plan for maximising territory sales Build intimate knowledge of the account stakeholders’ priorities, processes, business needs, drivers, and barriers for product utilisation.

Business Relationship Management of Key Accounts:

Establish effective relationships with clinical customers, including but not limited to; consultants, clinical & horizon scanning pharmacists, specialist nurses, and, where necessary, heads of medicines optimisation and ensure customers are supported, opportunities are identified, and solutions implemented. Effectively communicate scientific data and support in developing national and local opinion leaders

Effective Internal Relationship Management:

Build and maintain effective business relationships across a wide range of Accord functions including Integrated Healthcare Managers, Market Access, Marketing, Medical and Senior Management ensuring appropriate internal resource is actioned to provide the accounts with expert support as needed. To attend seminars, congresses, exhibitions, or meetings as directed by the national sales manager or marketing team

The Person:

ABPI qualified Degree level education ideally life science and/or business related Oncology sales experience Significant successful experience in the UK pharmaceutical market –within Secondary Care / oncology & environmental working knowledge Therapeutic specialist with a high level of scientific & clinical knowledge geared toward the clinical sell Understanding of the patient pathway from Neo-adjuvant, adjuvant, through to advanced/metastatic An understanding of the testing pathways involved in clinically identifying the correct patient specific to PD1 inhibition Experience & understanding of external XFT working between Oncology multidisciplinary teams Ability to present and discuss clinical papers in detail Secondary Care Working Knowledge linked to emerging ICS/ICB structures. Effectively understands the private sector & work across private hospitals where they exist
