Summary: The role of OpenShift & CP4D Consultant involves designing, building, and installing a Cloud Pak for Data (CP4D) environment on OpenShift clusters within Oracle Cloud. The consultant will ensure compliance with security and capacity requirements while collaborating with clients to implement necessary security measures and user access management. This position requires strong expertise in Red Hat OpenShift and IBM Cloud Pak for Data, along with experience in UK Government projects. Key Responsibilities:

  • Build a CP4D environment on OpenShift clusters in Oracle Cloud.
  • Set up namespaces for Dev/Test environments.
  • Validate cluster provisioning to ensure capacity and compliance with client requirements.
  • Lead a kick-off session to set expectations, timeline, and effort guidelines.
  • Collaborate with the client to understand and implement security requirements, user access management, and IAM.
  • Conduct a remote assessment to review prerequisites for deployment.
  • Perform readiness checkpoints before major installation milestones.
  • Install and validate WatsonX components including Watson Studio, WatsonX Assistant, WatsonX Discovery, Watson Machine Learning, and WatsonX.ai.
  • Perform environment validations post-installation to confirm successful deployment and integration.
  • Document installation steps, configurations, and validation results for client reference.
  • Install and configure Cloud Pak for Data (CP4D), WatsonX Discovery, WatsonX Orchestrate, Watson Studio, Watson Machine Learning, and databases on CP4D.

Key Skills:

  • Proven expertise with Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) and Red Hat OpenShift.
