Summary: The Recruitment Coordinator role involves managing end-to-end recruitment processes within the civil service, ensuring compliance with recruitment principles while providing an excellent experience for candidates and hiring managers. Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage end-to-end recruitment processes in line with policy and guidance.
  • Provide advice and guidance to vacancy holders on recruitment processes.
  • Monitor and maintain the Recruitment inbox, responding to enquiries.
  • Maintain and update recruitment log, ensuring accuracy of information.
  • Support vacancy holders in drafting adverts and advising on selection processes.
  • Produce recruitment timelines for line managers and manage expectations.
  • Support in advertising roles via appropriate social media channels.
  • Ensure documentation is in place for pre-employment checks.
  • Liaise with recruiting managers and GRS as required.
  • Draft secondment contracts for new secondees and extensions.
  • Represent the recruitment team at finance meetings and share updates.
  • Provide constructive suggestions for process improvements.
  • Carry out other duties within the scope of the grade as required.

Role: Recruitment Co-Ordinator

Contract Length: 6 months from start date

Location: London – 60% onsite

Minimum Requirement: Recruitment experience within civil service would be ideal

Civil service advertising platform would be ideal

Recruitment process end to end

MS Packages (Competent)

Manage end-to-end recruitment processes in line with policy and guidance, ensuring compliance with Civil Service Commission Recruitment Principles, whilst providing an excellent experience to both candidates and hiring managers. Consistently deliver high-quality recruitment outcomes in a fast-paced environment, aligned with customer priorities and objectives, while proactively identifying risks and resolving issues efficiently. Provide advice and guidance to vacancy holders on recruitment processes, ensuring the information vacancy holders require is available to them. To monitor & maintain the Recruitment inbox, dealing with enquiries or forwarding to appropriate individuals, ensuring emails are responded to and actioned within the agreed SLA. Maintain and update recruitment log, ensuring all information is accurate and up to date. Support vacancy holder on drafting adverts / key dates & advising on selection process. Producing recruitment timelines for recruiting line managers, ensuring line managers are aware of their responsibilities within the time frames and managing expectations with respect to timescales. Support in advertising all adverts via the appropriate social media channels. Following the selection of successful candidate ensure all documentation in place for pre-employment checks to take place. Liaising with recruiting manager and GRS as required. Undertake internal checks including conflict of interest checks, referring complex cases to recruitment HEO. Drafting secondment contracts for all new secondees and extensions to contracts as required. Always acting as a positive ambassador for recruitment. Representing the recruitment team at monthly finance meetings, and other scheduled meetings to discuss staffing requirements, and sharing recruitment updates and raising any risks and issues where necessary. Provide constructive suggestions for improvement, demonstrating flexibility in adapting to change, and proactively identifying opportunities to enhance processes. An employee may be required to carry out other duties within the scope of the grade and within the limits of their skill, competence and training. Due to business requirements this post is full-time only, flexible working is available.
