Reconciliations Manager

Key Responsibilities

  • Overseeing the end-to-end reconciliation strategy, managing internal controls, and ensuring strict compliance with accounting standards.
  • Lead the end-to-end balance sheet reconciliation agenda, ensuring robust financial controls and compliance across the organisation.
  • Support the implementation and continuous improvement of Oracle ARCS (Account Reconciliation Cloud Service) and wider reconciliation processes.
  • Manage complex, high-risk and aged reconciliations, investigating variances and driving timely resolution of outstanding items.
  • Identify opportunities to automate, standardise and optimise reconciliation processes to improve efficiency and control.
  • Partner closely with Finance, FP&A, Financial Control, Shared Services, Transformation teams and external auditors.
  • Support ongoing finance transformation projects focused on compliance, process improvement and operational excellence.
  • Deliver KPI and SLA performance targets while ensuring strong financial integrity across the function.
  • Coach, mentor and support team members, promoting a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
  • Provide clear reporting and insight into reconciliation risks, issues and remediation activities.

Candidate Profile

  • Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA).
  • Strong Record-to-Report, Financial Control, Shared Services or Reconciliations leadership experience.
  • Deep understanding of balance sheet reconciliations, financial controls and governance.
  • Experience working within large, complex, multi-entity organisations.
  • Proven experience driving finance transformation, process improvement, systems implementation or data quality initiatives.
  • Strong ERP experience, ideally Oracle, SAP or equivalent large-scale finance systems.
  • Experience with Oracle ARCS would be highly advantageous.
  • A confident stakeholder manager, able to influence and challenge senior colleagues.
  • Passionate about developing people and building high-performing teams.
