Summary: The Reconciliation QA Manager is responsible for overseeing daily quality assurance checks within the VPL Reconciliation Operations of a financial technology firm. This role involves ensuring compliance with FCA safeguarding regulations, monitoring internal reconciliation processes, and proposing improvement plans based on findings. The position requires strong communication skills and the ability to manage relationships with stakeholders while working in a hybrid environment. The role is offered as a 12-month fixed-term contract.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct daily quality assurance checks across VPL Reconciliation Operations.
  • Safeguard internal reconciliation processes and mandatory regulatory tasks.
  • Ensure a clear audit trail for all control checks conducted.
  • Create and propose remediation/improvement plans for findings.
  • Monitor progress towards targets in agreement with the Director, Reconciliations.
  • Create and present monthly summaries of reviews to the Head of Payops & Reconciliations.
  • Monitor user access to operational permissions across systems.

Key Skills:

  • Expertise in FCA safeguarding regulations.
  • Experience in testing and challenging control processes in payments/reconciliations.
  • Experience in requirements gathering and implementation of reconciliation tools.
  • Fully/part qualified accountant.
  • Strong communication skills and relationship-building abilities.
  • Ability to prioritize and work under pressure while maintaining accuracy.
  • Working knowledge of MS Office suite, particularly MS Excel and Teams.
  • Positive attitude and team spirit.

Salary (Rate): 80000
