Summary: The role of React Native Contractor involves supporting the development of a high-quality mobile application within a fast-paced product team. The contractor will collaborate with product managers, designers, and backend engineers to enhance mobile features for a growing user base. This position is a 6-month contract with an outside IR35 status, offering a competitive daily rate. The contractor is expected to start as soon as possible.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain mobile applications using React Native
- Build clean, scalable and well-tested code
- Collaborate with product, design and backend teams to deliver new features
- Integrate APIs and third-party services
- Optimise application performance and responsiveness
- Contribute to code reviews and engineering best practices
- Troubleshoot and resolve production issues
Key Skills:
- Strong commercial experience with React Native
- Solid knowledge of JavaScript / TypeScript
- Experience building and deploying production mobile apps
- Experience integrating REST APIs
- Familiarity with Git and modern CI/CD workflows
- Ability to work effectively in a distributed agile team
- Experience with Expo (nice to have)
- Knowledge of native mobile development (Swift / Kotlin) (nice to have)
- Experience with automated testing frameworks (nice to have)
- Previous experience working in high-growth product teams (nice to have)

The Role

This is a 6-month Outside IR35 contract paying £500/day , with the potential for extension.
