React.js Developer - London

Summary: A leading global digital consultancy is looking for an experienced React.js Developer to contribute to a high-profile client programme focused on delivering modern digital solutions. The role involves working in a fast-paced Agile environment on both Front End and Back End development, while shaping technical standards and non-functional requirements. The position requires a hybrid working arrangement with three days in London and is classified as inside IR35.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop and maintain modern web applications using React.js
  • Build and integrate robust APIs and Back End services
  • Collaborate with architects, product owners and engineering teams to deliver high-quality solutions
  • Translate business and technical requirements into scalable, maintainable code
  • Ensure solutions meet key Non-Functional Requirements (NFRs), including performance, security, scalability and reliability
  • Participate in code reviews, technical design sessions and architectural discussions
  • Troubleshoot, optimise and enhance existing applications
  • Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and engineering best practices

Key Skills:

  • Strong commercial experience developing applications using React.js
  • Solid experience with Back End development using Java, Node.js or similar technologies
  • Strong experience designing, developing and consuming RESTful APIs
  • Proven experience delivering solutions with a focus on Non-Functional Requirements (NFRs), including performance, scalability, security, resilience, and availability
  • Experience working within Agile/Scrum delivery environments
  • Strong understanding of software engineering best practices, including testing, CI/CD and code quality
  • Experience working within cloud-based environments (Azure, AWS or GCP) would be advantageous
