Summary: The React / Full Stack Engineer role is a contract position based in Sheffield, requiring an experienced professional to join a high-performing engineering team in a fast-paced Agile environment. Key Responsibilities:
- Develop scalable, accessible, and responsive applications using React.js.
- Utilize state management techniques such as Redux, Hooks, and Context API.
- Implement test-driven development (TDD) practices using Jest and React Testing Library.
- Integrate REST APIs and handle error management effectively.
- Translate UX wireframes into responsive and accessible user interfaces.
- Collaborate with the engineering team in Agile practices including sprint planning and retrospectives.
- Document processes and maintain clear communication within the team.
Key Skills:
- 5–7+ years of recent hands-on React.js development experience.
- Strong proficiency in JavaScript (ES6–ES2020), HTML5, CSS3, and CSS-in-JS.
- Solid experience with Backbase CXP and Forms products.
- Familiarity with modern libraries such as Material UI, Bootstrap, and Lodash.
- Experience with development tools like Babel, Webpack, NPM, Git, JIRA, Jenkins, Postman, and AppDynamics.
- Bonus: Experience with cloud platforms, automation, or banking IT.
- Strong documentation and collaborative mindset.
- Agile experience including sprint planning, retrospectives, and estimation.
