Summary: The role involves hiring multiple React Developers to design and develop high-quality, accessible code while collaborating with various stakeholders. Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop high-quality code that meets WCAG 2.2 AAA accessibility standards.
- Collaborate closely with designers, developers, and stakeholders to ensure technical feasibility and alignment with user-centred principles.
- Deliver measurable improvements to site performance, user engagement, and accessibility.
- Write cross-browser compatible code and apply optimization techniques for speed and responsiveness.
- Produce clear and useful documentation, including technical specifications and implementation guides.
- Continuously identify opportunities to improve Front End performance, maintainability, and user satisfaction.
- Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code.
Key Skills:
- Proven experience as a React Developer with a track record of delivering enterprise-level applications using React with REDUX and class-based components.
- Expert level in HTML 5 and CSS, including pre-processors such as SASS.
- Experience working with RESTful Services and APIs.
- Understanding of WCAG 2.1/2.2 and experience using screen readers and automated accessibility testing tools.
- Experience building responsive, interactive user interfaces with attention to detail.
- Ability to write cross-browser compatible code and familiarity with optimization techniques.
- Familiarity with building reusable code and libraries for future use.
- Effective communication skills for liaising with team members and stakeholders.

Our client, a leading organisation in the region, has contract requirements for a number of React Developers, to:
- Design and develop high-quality code that meets WCAG 2.2 AAA, ie to the highest and most optimal accessibility level.
- Collaborate closely with designers, developers, and stakeholders to ensure technical feasibility and alignment with user-centred principles
- Delivering measurable improvements to site performance, user engagement, and accessibility
- Writing cross-browser compatible code and applying optimization techniques for speed and responsiveness
- Producing clear and useful documentation, including technical specifications and implementation guides
- Continuously identifying opportunities to improve Front End performance, maintainability, and user satisfaction
- Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code
Skills and Qualifications:
Essential:
You will possess proven experience as a React Developer where you have a proven track record of:
- Delivering enterprise level applications using React with REDUX and class based react components.
- Expert level HTML 5 and CSS, including pre-processors such as SASS
- Experience working with RESTful Services and APIs
- Understand WCAG 2.1/2.2, be confident using screen readers (NVDA, VoiceOver, TalkBack), and have hands on experience with automated accessibility testing (eg axe core, jest axe, cypress axe, etc.).
- Track record building responsive, interactive user interfaces with an eye for detail
- Ability to write cross-browser compatible code and be familiar with optimisation techniques
- Familiar with the concepts of building reusable code and libraries for future use
- Effective communication skills to liaise with team members and business stakeholders to ensure that high quality builds meet design specifications
Desirable:
- Candidates should ideally have experience maintaining or contributing to a reusable React component library (published via npm). Additional experience with reCAPTCHA integration, Google Analytics implementation, analytics logging, session management, and authentication (preferably using MSAL) is highly desirable.
- Exposure to data visualisation using libraries such as Chart.js would also be beneficial.
