Key Responsibilities:

• Perform a wide range of diagnostic radiographic procedures following referral and imaging protocols.
• Ensure high-quality images are produced to support accurate diagnosis, minimizing the need for repeat exposures.
• Provide a safe, dignified, and person-centred service, ensuring patients are informed, comfortable, and reassured throughout their examination.
• Accurately identify patients using approved safety checks and ensure consent is gained before procedures.
• Comply with IR(ME)R regulations, local rules, and departmental safety protocols to ensure safe radiation practices.
• Assist in the implementation and use of new imaging technologies, techniques, and digital systems (e.g., PACS, RIS).

Key Skills:

• BSc (Hons) in Diagnostic Radiography or equivalent qualification.
• HCPC registration as a Diagnostic Radiographer.
• Experience in general radiographic techniques and equipment.
• Good understanding of IR(ME)R, health & safety, infection control, and patient confidentiality requirements.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a patient-centred approach.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
