The client is seeking an experienced RF Test Engineer to join their Instrument Engineering team. This role involves working on cutting-edge RF and 5G technologies to ensure the highest standards of quality and performance.
Responsibilities- Conduct rigorous testing of RF components and systems to ensure compliance with specifications.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement testing protocols.
- Analyse test results and provide detailed reports to guide engineering improvements.
- Maintain and calibrate testing equipment to ensure accurate and reliable results.
- Experienced and knowledgeable with RF
- Experienced and knowledgeable with 4G/5G and/or LTE
- Understand power, frequencies, etc.
- Experience with equipment from the likes of Keysight, Rohde & Schwarz, Anritsu, Agilent, National Instruments
- Signal generators, spectrum analysers, etc.
- Ideal candidate - vast exp with RF instrumentation at a user level
- Automation & CICD beneficial
- Contributing to the signal generators' test automation would help in a significant way
- Python is the key language
- If someone doesn't hold much knowledge here, then a willingness/desire to learn is the minimum requirement
- Attitude and personality - they want someone vocal, but also someone with a positive attitude, and someone proactive
- For example - if they get blocked on a piece of work, someone who will try to figure out how they may be able to unblock things themselves
- And someone who is able to make suggestions for process improvements when they see the opportunity
