Summary: We are looking for a Radio Access Network Engineer with over 10 years of experience to support a critical telecom project in Newbury, UK. This onsite role involves network optimization, performance management, and troubleshooting across various mobile technologies including 2G, 3G, 4G, VoLTE, and 5G. Key Responsibilities:
- Lead radio optimization processes, including Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and improvement recommendations.
- Manage network performance data, anomaly detection, and reporting using tools like Atoll, MapInfo, and OSS.
- Conduct drive test analysis, coverage mapping, and EMF compliance reporting.
- Oversee site shutdown analysis, database consistency checks, and special project rollouts.
- Collaborate with offshore/onshore teams, ensuring deliverables meet quality standards.
- Provide expert insights on Ericsson, Nokia, and Huawei equipment, parameters, and features.
Key Skills:
- Degree in Telecommunications, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
- 10+ years of RAN engineering experience with deep expertise in 4G, VoLTE, and 5G (SA/NSA).
- Proficiency in radio site planning, link budget, and logical configuration (power, tilt, bands, etc.).
- Strong analytical skills with expertise in KPI formulas, performance tools, and Business Intelligence dashboards.
