Summary: We are looking for a Radio Access Network Engineer with over 10 years of experience to support a critical telecom project in Newbury, UK. This onsite role involves network optimization, performance management, and troubleshooting across various mobile technologies including 2G, 3G, 4G, VoLTE, and 5G. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in RAN engineering and be proficient in using performance tools and conducting drive test analysis. This position requires daily onsite presence and collaboration with both offshore and onshore teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead radio optimization processes, including Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and improvement recommendations.
  • Manage network performance data, anomaly detection, and reporting using tools like Atoll, MapInfo, and OSS.
  • Conduct drive test analysis, coverage mapping, and EMF compliance reporting.
  • Oversee site shutdown analysis, database consistency checks, and special project rollouts.
  • Collaborate with offshore/onshore teams, ensuring deliverables meet quality standards.
  • Provide expert insights on Ericsson, Nokia, and Huawei equipment, parameters, and features.

Key Skills:

  • Degree in Telecommunications, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
  • 10+ years of RAN engineering experience with deep expertise in 4G, VoLTE, and 5G (SA/NSA).
  • Proficiency in radio site planning, link budget, and logical configuration (power, tilt, bands, etc.).
