Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and oversee quantity surveying tasks on civil projects.
- Produce detailed cost plans to ensure projects remain within budget.
- Review, appraise, and report on main contract and sub-contract tenders.
- Evaluate bids and assess their suitability for decision-makers.
- Review and report on site changes and compensation events.
Key Skills:
- Significant experience as a Quantity Surveyor on civil projects.
- Experience with NEC 4 contracts.
- Min HNC/HND level qualification in Construction/Quantity Surveying.
- Ability to produce detailed cost plans and manage budgets.
- Strong analytical skills for evaluating tenders and site changes.

POSITION : Quantity Surveyor - Civils
LOCATION : Commutable from Doncaster , Hull , Beverley , Leeds , Selby , York , Grimsby , Scunthorpe, Bridlington , Sheffield
RATE : £30 - £40 ph PAYE or Ltd Co. (outside IR35) available
THE ROLE : Our client is an established and well respected multi -disciplinary consultancy. This is a long term freelance opportunity ( 18 - 24 months) for an experienced Quantity Surveyor to work on a large multi million pound Highway project in Yorkshire. The role will be a mix of office , site and some working from home and will be 40 hours Monday to Friday.
YOU MUST HAVE THE FOLLOWING :
- Significant previous experience working as a Quantity Surveyor on Civils projects.
- Applications are welcome from experienced QS's with either client side or contractor experience
- Experience of NEC 4
- Min HNC/HND level of relevant Construction/Quantity Surveying qualification.
- Experience of producing detailed cost plans, ensuring the project stays within budget and meets financial targets
- The ability to review appraise, and report on main contract and sub-contract tenders. This includes evaluating bids, assessing their suitability, and providing recommendations to decision-makers.
- The ability to review, appraise and report on site changes ( compensation events)
