Quantity Surveyor

Summary: The Quantity Surveyor role involves providing support and guidance on cost-related aspects of maintenance works for a high-volume residential contract. The position requires reviewing quotations for value and quality, as well as preparing reports to demonstrate savings and adherence to specifications. This is a 6-month contract based in the East Midlands. Experience in the residential sector is not mandatory.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide support and guidance to clients on cost aspects of maintenance works.
• Review quotations to ensure value for money and qualitative solutions.
• Prepare reports demonstrating savings, efficiencies, and quality of workmanship.
• Ensure adherence to specifications and value for money.

Key Skills:

• Quantity Surveying qualification or equivalent.
• Intermediate IT skills, particularly in Excel (including pivot tables and data manipulation).
• Commercial contract awareness.
• Basic technical knowledge.
• Data management and analysis.
• Experience in Facilities Management or retail.
• Working with the supply chain.
• Volume-based processing and analysis.
• Experience in Fire Safety Regulations.
• Familiarity with NEC Forms of Contract.
