Key Responsibilities:

• Provide the full range of Quantity Surveying duties from project inception through to handover and final account preparation.
• Prepare, monitor, and manage project budgets, ensuring cost-effective solutions.
• Assist in estimating the cost of materials, labour, and equipment for new projects and prepare detailed bids.
• Draft, review, and negotiate contracts with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors.
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders for smooth project execution.
• Identify and mitigate commercial and contractual risks associated with projects.
• Prepare data and reports to required timescales for line management and clients.

Key Skills:

• 5+ years recent experience as a Quantity Surveyor within construction and/or engineering, specifically in structural steel.
• Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field.
• Proficient in industry-standard software for cost estimation and project management including BIM/CAD measure and Cost-X.
• Knowledge of Tekla or other BIM software is advantageous.
• Familiarity with various forms of contracts including NEC, JCT, and CECA.
• Strong analytical and numerical skills with meticulous attention to detail.
