Key Responsibilities:

Key Skills:

  • Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or equivalent discipline.
  • Proven experience in construction or steel-based projects; defence/nuclear experience preferred.
  • Demonstrable working knowledge of NEC3 or NEC4 contracts (essential).
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills with strong commercial awareness.
  • Willingness to travel to customer or supplier sites (approx. once per week).

We are seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to support the successful delivery of major Defence and Nuclear contracts, working across NEC3 and NEC4 frameworks. This role would suit a degree-qualified Quantity Surveyor with a strong background in construction or steelworks, ideally within nuclear, defence, or similarly regulated sectors. You’ll need solid NEC3/NEC4 experience, strong commercial acumen, and confidence in supplier management and client-facing responsibilities. Suitable for professionals comfortable with regular travel and working autonomously within a fast-paced environment.

Location: Bury + with travel to Reading once a week.

Contract Length: 8–12 months initially, with potential for extension based on workload

Rate: £45–£50 per hour (dependent on experience)

IR35: Outside IR35 – Limited, Umbrella or PAYE available.

Hours: Monday – Friday, Full time, typically 0830-1730.
