Summary: An experienced Quantity Surveyor is needed for a 3-month contract role supporting a major offshore infrastructure project in the North Sea. The position involves providing commercial and contractual support to the Project Manager, managing contractor variations, and ensuring compliance with contractual agreements. The role requires immediate availability and offers a hybrid working arrangement with occasional site visits to Aberdeen.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review and challenge variation order requests in line with approved contractual agreements.
  • Manage and assess contractor variations.
  • Liaise with third-party QS teams to reach agreement on shared commercial matters.
  • Support the close-out of major pipeline contracts.
  • Provide commercial and contractual guidance to the wider project team.

Key Skills:

  • Proven Quantity Surveying experience within energy, engineering, infrastructure, or major projects.
  • Strong contract administration and commercial management experience.
  • Ability to review, challenge, and negotiate variation orders.
  • Available to start immediately.

Salary (Rate): £450.00 daily

Detailed Description From Employer:

An experienced Quantity Surveyor is required to support a major offshore infrastructure project within a leading operator in the North Sea. This is a short-term contract opportunity providing key commercial and contractual support to the Project Manager on a high-profile pipeline project. Working closely with project management, you will take ownership of reviewing and challenging variation order requests, ensuring all submissions are aligned with contractual agreements and settlement terms. You will also manage contractor variations, support contract close-out activities, and liaise with external commercial teams to achieve agreement on shared commercial matters.

  • Circa £450 per day
  • Outside IR35
