The Role
- Managing the commercial aspects of the project from procurement through to final account
- Managing subcontractor procurement, tendering and package awards
- Preparing and managing subcontractor accounts, valuations and payments
- Monitoring project costs, budgets and commercial performance
- Managing variations, change control and compensation events
- Supporting the preparation of cost reports and commercial forecasts
- Working closely with the Project Manager and wider delivery team
- Managing commercial relationships with subcontractors and suppliers
- Supporting the resolution of contractual and commercial matters
- Contributing to the successful commercial delivery of the project
About You
- Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor or Senior Quantity Surveyor within commercial fit out, refurbishment or retrofit
- Experience delivering Cat A or Cat B projects
- Strong commercial and contractual awareness
- Experience managing subcontractor packages from procurement through to final account
- Good knowledge of cost control, valuations, variations and change management
- Strong communication and negotiation skills
- Ability to work effectively within a large project team
- Degree or relevant qualification in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline
