Summary: The Quality Specialist role involves overseeing Quality Assurance and Compliance monitoring for a defence client in Bristol or Milton Keynes on a 6-month contract. The position requires maintaining compliance with various ISO standards and supporting internal and external audits. The specialist will also manage non-conformities and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the Quality Assurance team. Hybrid working options are available, with some travel to other work sites expected.
Key Responsibilities:
- Act as a primary quality point of contact for nonconformities and corrective actions.
- Support bids and proposals using Early Quality Involvement criteria.
- Plan and support Key Customer and Supplier joint management meetings.
- Complete internal audits within assigned timescales according to the annual Audit plan.
- Manage Non-Conformance from cradle to grave, including RCCA and verification.
- Collect data and produce slide packs for the Corrective Action Board (CAB).
- Support external audits as required.
- Ensure hardware and software compliance to standards.
- Attend Engineering Gate Reviews within allocated programmes.
- Collaborate with the Quality Lead and WCPQ function to drive continuous improvement.
Key Skills:
- Understanding and previous experience of Quality Assurance Management.
- Basic Engineering Lifecycle knowledge.
- HNC in an Aerospace/Engineering discipline.
- Experience in Aerospace/Defence background is highly desirable.
- Lead/Internal Auditor AS9100/ISO9001.
- Knowledge of MAA Regulations.
- Understanding/experience of conforming to Defence Standards.
- Good understanding of Quality Management techniques.
- Continuous Improvement Techniques and Management.
- Computer literate.
