Summary: The Quality Lab Analyst role is a 12-month contract position based in Montrose, Scotland, within the pharmaceuticals industry. The analyst is responsible for conducting routine and non-routine analyses, ensuring compliance with quality standards, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives in the quality laboratory. The position requires collaboration with various departments to maintain efficient operations and address quality issues effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct routine analysis on IPC, raw materials, manufactured, and stability samples using classical and chromatographic techniques.
- Provide analytical services for non-routine samples and assist in troubleshooting production problems.
- Participate in the review and preparation of procedures, validation reviews, COSHH, and risk assessments.
- Ensure compliance with current Good Laboratory Practice (cGLP) and defined procedures.
- Actively engage in various audit teams and support continuous improvement initiatives.
- Train staff in analytical techniques and participate in capability building.
- Manage deviations and change management actions professionally and timely.
- Support other analyses at the Montrose site as directed by the Quality Laboratory Leader.
Key Skills:
- Experience in a Quality Control lab or equivalent.
- Competency in a range of analytical techniques, including chromatography and classical tests.
- Strong understanding of Good Laboratory Practice (cGLP) and regulatory compliance.
- Ability to work collaboratively across departments.
- Effective communication and problem-solving skills.
- Experience with performance management and continuous improvement tools.
