Summary: The Quality Inspector role at Expleo involves ensuring the conformity of satellite components to customer requirements within the space industry. The position requires conducting quality inspections and supporting quality assurance efforts on-site at the customer's facility in Portsmouth. The inspector will be responsible for maintaining high standards of cleanliness and contamination control while ensuring timely delivery of components. This contract position is classified as inside IR35 and may lead to a permanent role if preferred.

Key Responsibilities:

• Ensure conformity of production and test operations within the Cleanroom according to approved quality standards.
• Perform design and integrity verification inspections on Flight Hardware and Test set-up.
• Responsible for environmental and H&S control of assembly, integration & test activities.
• Maintain a safe working environment and promote a quality-first mindset.
• Monitor and drive world-class workmanship standards and cleanroom practices.
• Identify and record non-conformities and support root cause analysis of non-quality events.
• Complete documentation checks and approval of reworks as required.
• Attend training as directed and support specific operational tasks.

Key Skills:

• Current ECSS certification to ECSS-Q-ST-70-08, ECSS-Q-ST-70-28 & ECSS-Q-ST-70-38 or latest ECSS-Q-ST-70-61.
• Minimum of 3 years experience in the space, aerospace, or military electronics engineering sector.
• Knowledge of high reliability electronics, surface mount assembly, and RF products.
• Familiarity with production activities, risk management, and non-conformance management.
• General awareness of Manufacturing Systems (CAD, CAM, SAP, etc.).
• Proactive with excellent interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively.
• Experience working within a matrix structure and demonstrable team-working skills.
