Quality Inspector - Civil Engineering

Summary: A freelance Quality Inspector is sought for a significant infrastructure project in the civil engineering construction industry. Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct on-site inspections to ensure compliance with project specifications and quality standards.
• Monitor and evaluate construction materials, workmanship, and overall project quality.
• Pre action inspections, witness testing, signing off and reporting thereof.
• Identify and report any non-conformance issues, defects, or deviations from project plans.
• Ensure adherence to health, safety, and environmental regulations.
• Maintain comprehensive inspection records and prepare detailed reports.
• Collaborate with engineers, project managers, and site supervisors to implement quality control measures.
• Conduct quality audits and recommend corrective actions when necessary.
• Verify that completed work aligns with approved drawings and specifications.

Key Skills:

• Degree or diploma in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
• Proven experience as a Quality Inspector in civil engineering construction for tier one UK contractors.
• In-depth knowledge of construction materials, methods, and industry regulations.
• Familiarity with quality assurance procedures, ISO standards, and safety guidelines.
• Strong analytical skills and keen attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and report-writing skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
