Role Details
Location: Mostly Remote (Telford 2 days/month on-site)
Duration: 6 months
Rate: £525 per day, Inside IR35
Clearance: BPSS

Key Responsibilities
- Designing and implementing test solutions and automation from scratch, applying best-practice approaches
- Applying structured testing and automation approaches aligned with TDD/BDD
- Bringing experience of testing within the CI/CD lifecycle and its supporting technologies
- Applying risk-based testing methodologies and strong test design/analysis techniques
- Upskilling the engineering team to build QA capability as a whole-team responsibility
- Managing test data in line with best practice
- Covering the full test spectrum - Unit, System, Functional, Integration - plus NFR testing (performance, accessibility, security)
- Analysing complex business requirements, processes and technical architectures to inform the testing solution
- Operating in a T-shaped way across the product stack, including pair-programming with developers
Skills and Experience Required
- Strong CI/CD experience
- Solid software testing background
- Git/GitLab proficiency
- Java/Spring experience
- Proven communication, team engagement and coaching skills
- Adaptable, quality-driven, comfortable with context switching
- Strong stakeholder management skills
- Previous Government and/or Public Sector experience
