Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare, review, and manage Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs)
  • Carry out site inspections and audits to ensure compliance
  • Manage NCRs, observations, and corrective actions through to close-out
  • Support quality reporting and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Liaise with engineers, site teams, and client representatives
  • Ensure works comply with HS2 standards, specifications, and procedures

Key Skills:

  • Proven experience as a Quality Engineer within civil engineering or major infrastructure
  • Previous experience on large-scale rail or infrastructure projects (HS2 experience highly advantageous)
  • Strong understanding of quality systems, audits, and inspection processes
  • Familiarity with civils works such as earthworks, structures, or concrete works
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Right to work in the UK

Carmichael UK is working in partnership with a leading Tier 1 contractor delivering a key package of works on the HS2 project in Northamptonshire. We are seeking an experienced Quality Engineer to support the successful delivery of major civils and infrastructure works on this nationally significant scheme.

The Role
