Summary: Carmichael UK is seeking an experienced Quality Engineer to support the HS2 project in Northamptonshire, focusing on major civils and infrastructure works. Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare, review, and manage Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs)
- Carry out site inspections and audits to ensure compliance
- Manage NCRs, observations, and corrective actions through to close-out
- Support quality reporting and continuous improvement initiatives
- Liaise with engineers, site teams, and client representatives
- Ensure works comply with HS2 standards, specifications, and procedures
Key Skills:
- Proven experience as a Quality Engineer within civil engineering or major infrastructure
- Previous experience on large-scale rail or infrastructure projects (HS2 experience highly advantageous)
- Strong understanding of quality systems, audits, and inspection processes
- Familiarity with civils works such as earthworks, structures, or concrete works
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Right to work in the UK
