Summary: The Quality Control Microbiologist role at Dechra is a 6-month fixed-term contract focused on performing microbiological testing to ensure the quality of veterinary pharmaceutical products. The position requires adherence to cGMP and cGLP standards while conducting tests on finished products, raw materials, and the manufacturing environment. The successful candidate will have a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience and a BSc in Microbiology or a related field. Key Responsibilities:
- Perform microbiological testing and evaluate results to ensure compliance with GMP requirements.
- Execute microbiological tests including water testing (LAL & Membrane filtration), bioburden testing, environmental monitoring, and dispersion testing.
- Coordinate, prepare, and dispatch samples to external laboratories for analysis.
Key Skills:
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in a pharmaceutical GMP quality control laboratory.
- Knowledge of microbiological testing methods such as LAL, Membrane Filtration, bioburden, and environmental monitoring.
- Experience with laboratory equipment and proficiency in Word and Excel.
- BSc Hons in Microbiology or equivalent scientific qualification or relevant experience.
