Summary: The Business Compliance Control Analyst role is a 12-month fixed-term contract based in London, requiring a hybrid working arrangement of three days in the office and two days from home. The position involves supporting compliance and quality control processes related to Anti-Money Laundering (AML) and Know Your Customer (KYC) regulations within a globally recognized bank. The analyst will assist in maintaining compliance documentation, conducting quality checks, and ensuring adherence to regulatory standards. This role is essential for maintaining the integrity of the bank's compliance framework and supporting the unit head in various compliance-related tasks.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assisting the head in maintaining accurate information on the QC M.I report checklist.
- Creating and maintaining required Compliance MI or other information requested.
- Completing the NTB/KYC checklist, KYB Checklist and the Post-approval QC checklist of the low and medium risk reviews.
- Assisting with the timely update of the BRC FAQ log with points for the next CDD procedure anniversary.
- Conducting Quality Checks (QC) on all new account opening applications received from the Relationship Managers (RMs).
- Providing support to the unit head in conducting QC on periodic Clients’ Due Diligence (KYB) Reviews.
- Conducting 100% QC of KYB reviews of lower risk clients performed by RMs.
- Carrying out QC of uploaded documents on MFiles by Business Risk Review Team.
- Assisting in the Quality Checks (QC) of Senior Management Approval Forms (SMAFs) and Client Risk Rating Assessment (CRRA) Forms.
Key Skills:
- Experienced in Banking with experience in AML/CFT & Compliance Risk Management.
- Substantial experience in KYC, periodic reviews and quality assurance.
- Awareness and ability to quickly understand internal systems, processes, procedures, and relevant external influences.
- Working knowledge of standard business processes, products offered and the dynamics within the business.
- Working knowledge of FCA regulations, particularly conduct rules, AML and financial crime requirements.
- Experience with delivery of best practice quality assurance checks.

Business Compliance Control Analyst (12-month FTC) Hybrid 3 days in the office/2 from home London
Our Client is a globally recognised, successful bank who provide world-class services to various institutions and individuals. Offering a comprehensive range of retail and corporate financial services/products, this thriving business boasts over 10 million active customers in over 700 business locations.
Due to business requirements, we are now looking to acquire the services of an experienced Business Compliance Control Analyst. Hybrid role – 3 days a week in the London office, 2 days from home - Office hours are Monday-Friday, 9am-5pm with a 1-hour lunch.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assisting the head in maintaining accurate information on the QC M.I report checklist.
- creating and maintaining required Compliance MI or other information requested
- Completing the NTB/KYC checklist, KYB Checklist and the Post-approval QC checklist of the low and medium risk reviews. This is an end-to-end task that requires all columns on these checklists to be completed adequately at all times
- Assist with the timely update of the BRC FAQ log with points that will be considered at the next CDD procedure anniversary.
- Conducting Quality Checks (QC) on all new account opening applications received from the Relationship Managers (RMs) ensuring that full due diligence is completed and escalate any issues to the unit head.
- Providing support to the unit head in conducting QC on periodic Clients’ Due Diligence (KYB) Reviews undertaken by RMs / Business Compliance Support on all high-risk relationships to ensure compliance with the Bank’s Policy and CDD standards.
- Providing support to the unit head in conducting QC on periodic Clients’ Due Diligence (KYB) Reviews undertaken by RMs / Business Risk Review on all Treasury & Market, Low and medium risk relationships to ensure compliance with the Bank’s Policy and CDD standards.
- Conducting 100% QC of KYB reviews of lower risk clients performed by RMs in conjunction with the Business Risk Review Team.
- Carrying out QC of uploaded documents on MFiles by Business Risk Review Team and the CSG to ensure all customer documentation is correctly uploaded to the bank’s repository.
- Assisting in the Quality Checks (QC) of Senior Management Approval Forms (SMAFs) and Client Risk Rating Assessment (CRRA) Forms submitted by the Relationship Managers through Business Risk Review on Eastnets system before submission to FCPC.
Key Skills/Experience:
- Experienced in Banking with experience in AML/CFT & Compliance Risk Management.
- Substantial experience in KYC, periodic reviews and quality assurance is a prerequisite.
- Awareness and ability to quickly understand internal systems, processes, procedures, and relevant external influences (competitors, laws and regulations, market conditions, etc.)
- Working knowledge of standard business processes, products offered and the dynamics within the business.
- Working knowledge of FCA regulations, in particular conduct rules, AML and financial crime requirements, as well as any other related business compliance rules and regulation.
- Experience with delivery of best practice quality assurance checks to ensure business meets the required compliance standards.
