Summary: The Business Risk Control Analyst role is a six-month fixed-term contract based in London, focusing on ensuring compliance with banking regulations through quality checks on account opening applications and periodic client due diligence reviews. The position requires collaboration with Relationship Managers and the Business Compliance Support Team to maintain high standards of compliance and risk management. The role operates in a hybrid model, with three days in the office and two days remote work each week.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conducting Quality Checks (QC) on all new account opening applications from Relationship Managers (RMs) and escalating issues to the unit head.
- Supporting the unit head in conducting QC on periodic Clients’ Due Diligence (KYB) Reviews for high-risk relationships.
- Performing sample QC of KYB reviews of lower risk clients and uploaded documents for accuracy.
- Assisting in the QC of Senior Management Approval Forms (SMAFs) and Client Risk Rating Assessment (CRRA) Forms submitted by RMs.
Key Skills:
- Experience in Banking/Financial Services with a focus on AML/CFT & Compliance Risk Management.
- Substantial experience in KYC/KYB reviews process assurance.
- Ability to understand internal systems, processes, and relevant external influences.
- Working knowledge of FCA regulations, particularly conduct rules and AML requirements.
- Experience in delivering best practice quality assurance checks for compliance standards.
