Summary: The role of QA Tester (AVP) focuses on supporting strategic compliance technology initiatives within a fast-paced environment. The successful candidate will lead the QA strategy, manage testing activities across multiple projects, and ensure the quality and regulatory alignment of compliance systems. This position requires deep domain knowledge in compliance and strong technical testing capabilities. The role is hybrid and contract-based until March 2026, with the possibility of extension.
Key Responsibilities:
- Define and lead the QA strategy for compliance systems, ensuring alignment with regulatory and business requirements.
- Design and execute detailed test plans, test cases, and use cases for complex compliance workflows.
- Lead UAT planning and execution, including script development, stakeholder coordination, and defect resolution.
- Conduct robust integration testing, focusing on Single Sign-On (SSO), data flows, and system interoperability.
- Use JIRA and other QA tools for test management, defect tracking, and agile collaboration.
- Apply deep understanding of regulatory obligations to validate system functionality and business alignment.
- Manage QA activities across multiple concurrent projects, prioritising effectively.
- Provide guidance and support to junior testers and business users during testing phases.
- Drive enhancements in QA processes, automation opportunities, and documentation standards.
- Act as a trusted advisor to Compliance and IT stakeholders.
Key Skills:
- Experience in QA/testing in financial services, focusing on Compliance, Risk, or Legal domains.
- Proven expertise in testing regulatory obligations registers and findings/case management systems.
- Strong command of JIRA and other test management platforms.
- Ability to write and execute comprehensive test plans, use cases, and UAT scripts.

Purpose of role :
My client is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior QA Tester to support the delivery of strategic compliance technology initiatives, including the implementation of an EMEA-wide Obligations Register and other Compliance deliverables involving system solutions. This role is critical in ensuring the quality, reliability, and regulatory alignment of compliance systems. The successful candidate will bring deep domain knowledge in compliance, strong technical testing capabilities, and the ability to work across multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Test strategy & Leadership: Define and lead the QA strategy for compliance systems, ensuring alignment with regulatory and business requirements.
- Advanced Test Planning: Design and execute detailed test plans, test cases, and use cases for complex compliance workflows, including obligations registers and case management systems.
- UAT Oversight: Lead UAT planning and execution, including script development, stakeholder coordination, and defect resolution.
- Integration & SSO Testing: Conduct robust integration testing, with a focus on Single Sign-On (SSO), data flows, and system interoperability.
- Tool Mastery: Use JIRA and other QA tools for test management, defect tracking, and agile collaboration.
- Compliance Domain Expertise: Apply deep understanding of regulatory obligations, horizon scanning, and findings management to validate system functionality and business alignment.
- Multi-Project Management: Manage QA activities across multiple concurrent projects, prioritising effectively and working with minimal supervision.
- Mentorship: Provide guidance and support to junior testers and business users during testing phases.
- Continuous Improvement: Drive enhancements in QA processes, automation opportunities, and documentation standards.
- Business Partnership: Act as a trusted advisor to Compliance and IT stakeholders, ensuring solutions meet both regulatory and operational need.
Required Skills and Experience:
- Experince of QA/testing experience in financial services, with a strong focus on Compliance, Risk, or Legal domains.
- Proven expertise in testing regulatory obligations registers, horizon scanning tools, and findings/case management systems.
- Strong command of JIRA and other test management platforms.
- Demonstrated ability to write and execute comprehensive test plans, use cases, and UAT scripts.
- Hands-on experience with SSO and integration testing in complex environments.
