Quality Assurance/Test Lead

Summary: The Quality Assurance/Test Lead role involves leading comprehensive testing cycles, defining and executing test strategies, and overseeing various testing processes within a financial services context. The position requires a proactive approach to improving test coverage and automation while supporting and coaching team members. The candidate must have experience in payments, cards, or banking exposure. This is a one-year contract position classified as inside IR35.

Key Responsibilities:

• Leads comprehensive testing cycles: Functional testing, scheme certification, operational readiness testing.
• Defines and executes the test strategy & plan, which is well documented in a test plan.
• Creates and maintains test cases, test scripts for end-to-end test scenarios.
• Oversees testing (integration, functional, user acceptance, production validation) between client, scheme and processor systems.
• Pro-actively seeks to make continuous improvements to test coverage, execution and automation, with expertise in a suite of host simulators and test automation frameworks.
• Supports and coaches internal test team members in testing and automation.
• Preferred skills: Jira, Java, JUnit, Cucumber, and ideally Kafka and Kubernetes.
• Mandatory requirement- payments/cards, financial services or Banking exposure.

Key Skills:

• Experience in leading testing cycles and defining test strategies.
• Proficiency in creating and maintaining test cases and scripts.
