Quality Assurance/Test Analyst

Summary: The Quality Assurance/Test Analyst role involves designing and executing test cases for card processing functions within the financial services sector. The position requires collaboration with technology, vendors, and business teams to ensure accurate testing and defect resolution. The candidate must have experience in payments/cards and possess preferred skills in various testing tools and programming languages. This is a one-year contract position classified as inside IR35.

Key Responsibilities:

• Designs, prepares, maintains test cases, test scripts, and test data covering cards processing functions such as authorisations, settlements, disputes, and customer servicing.
• Performs test execution, accurately logs defects, and works closely with technology, vendors, and business teams to support timely investigation and resolution. Validates data migration outcomes, reconciliations, and parallel run results to ensure transactional accuracy and completeness.
• Supports testing tool and test environment readiness, test data setup in testing tools, and coordination of test cycles across multiple dependent systems.
• Assists with test reporting, including progress updates, defect trends, and test completion summaries.
• Preferred skills: Jira, Java, JUnit, Cucumber, and ideally Kafka and Kubernetes.

Key Skills:
