About The Role
The role of the Quality Assurance Team Manager in Children’s Social Care is centered on ensuring and enhancing the quality of practice within the organisation. This involves conducting thorough audits and meticulously documenting findings, preparing comprehensive reports encompassing both quantitative and qualitative aspects. These reports are intended for presentation to senior managers, fostering transparency and accountability in addressing any identified issues. The overarching objective is to elevate the standard of practice by implementing the Quality Assurance Framework. Through proactive measures, the Auditor aims to contribute to the continuous improvement of work quality across the organization, ultimately leading to more effective outcomes for children and families involved with Children’s Social Care.
About You
The ideal candidate for this position should possess a well-rounded set of skills and qualifications. Firstly, a thorough understanding, knowledge, and ability to follow guidelines are essential to ensure compliance with Health and Safety at Work, Data Protection, and other statutory requirements. This includes familiarity with health and safety aspects and issues, such as first aid and manual handling, particularly concerning hazardous materials and relevant processes/legislation in the working environment. Furthermore, proficiency in using IT, including experience with an electronic integrated children’s system like Liquid Logic Children’s System or a similar platform, is a key requirement. This technological competency is crucial for effective data management and streamlined workflow in the context of social work responsibilities. The candidate should also demonstrate a commitment to promoting and implementing the Council’s Equal Opportunities policies. This aligns with the broader goal of ensuring fairness, diversity, and inclusivity in all aspects of work. Moreover, a Social Work qualification and active registration with the Social Work England (SWE) are prerequisites for the role. Evidence of post-qualification continuing professional development reflects a commitment to staying current with evolving practices and standards in the field. Experience In Managing Others Is Essential In This Role. Comprehensive knowledge and application of relevant legislation, regulations, and statutory guidance related to children, young people, and their parents/carers is crucial.
