Summary: This role as a Quality Assurance Specialist involves supporting organizational readiness for Ofsted inspections and ensuring compliance with apprenticeship regulatory requirements. The postholder will work closely with senior staff to maintain high-quality program delivery and robust quality assurance systems. Key activities include contributing to Ofsted-readiness activities, reviewing compliance systems, and supporting tutors in maintaining compliant documentation. The position is focused on enhancing the learner experience and ensuring adherence to organizational policies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Contribute to Ofsted-readiness activities, including gap analysis, documentation checks, and staff preparation.
- Review and strengthen compliance systems such as learner records and employer feedback processes.
- Support tutors to maintain compliant schemes of work, lesson plans, learner tracking, and assessment records.
- Assist with internal quality assurance processes (e.g., OTLA, internal verification, deep dives) and follow-up actions.
- Monitor marking and feedback deadlines, ensuring timely completion.
- Prepare evidence for inspection readiness, including updates to the SAR and QIP.
- Collate and report learner progress data, tutor performance, and quality metrics.
- Promote an inclusive, high-quality learner experience.
- Provide excellent customer service and represent the organisation professionally.
- Follow organisational policies including Health & Safety, Equality & Diversity, and Safeguarding.
- Participate in appraisal and development processes.
- Contribute to a positive, collaborative working environment.
- Undertake other duties appropriate to the role.
Key Skills:
- Experience in apprenticeship compliance, quality assurance, and inspection preparation.
- Strong understanding of Ofsted and DfE funding rules.
- Background in programme delivery or quality assurance within apprenticeships.
