Summary: The Quality Assurance Specialist role at Aldi involves ensuring that products meet high specifications and driving a culture of quality across the supply base. Key Responsibilities:

  • Support National Buying by ensuring products meet high specifications.
  • Utilise technical experience to communicate on product issues, routine due diligence, and customer complaints.
  • Develop and maintain positive working relationships with buying teams, external parties, and service providers.
  • Act as the go-to person within Buying for all Quality Assurance queries.
  • Manage the efficient and accurate flow of correspondence and information with external and internal parties.
  • Create purchase orders and check invoices for services and equipment.
  • Maintain full knowledge of the Quality Policies and Procedures.
  • Assist in the development and maintenance of the Quality Assurance systems and documentation.
  • Actively manage areas of responsibility by using initiative and suggesting ways of improving systems.
  • Support the direct leader to manage the Technical Service providers (TSPs).
  • Monitor/measure due diligence throughout the business and escalate compliance issues with suppliers.
  • Undertake training to keep up to date with legislative and industry requirements.

As a Quality Assurance Specialist, you will be part of a team that is accountable for making sure that Aldi products meet our high specifications by driving a culture of quality across our supply base. This is an 18 Month Fixed Term Contract. You will have experience in a food manufacturing or a food retail food quality environment, liaising with suppliers and Buying teams to communicate on product issues, routine due diligence, customer complaints and continuous improvement. Important to the role is being a confident communicator with the ability to network at all levels within Aldi. Being a team player means you will naturally fit well with our Aldi culture. Your New Role

  • Manage the efficient and accurate flow of correspondence and information, both incoming and outgoing, with external and internal parties ensuring an ongoing understanding of current issues, proposing/ taking action where appropriate
  • Create purchase orders and check invoices for services and equipment
  • Maintain full knowledge of the Quality Policies and Procedures
  • Assist in the development and maintenance of the Quality Assurance systems and documentation
  • Actively manage areas of responsibility by using initiative and suggesting ways of improving systems for greater efficiency
  • Support the direct leader to manage the Technical Service providers (TSPs)
  • Monitor/ measure due diligence throughout the business and take action where necessary to escalate in a timely manner and follow up compliance issues with suppliers
  • Undertake training to keep up to date with legislative and industry requirements

What you’ll get in return

  • Monday to Friday, 8:00am to 4.30pm, with the opportunity of remote working up to 2 days per week , from January 2027 1 day per week.
