Barnsley is looking for a dedicated individual to join the Quality Assurance and Improvement Team on a part-time basis (18.5 hours per week). This role requires availability at the beginning of the week and involves a variety of responsibilities that are crucial for enhancing service quality and development within the team.Purpose of the PositionThe successful candidate will provide social work services, particularly handling complex cases, assessing and managing risks, and developing and sharing specialist knowledge in a specific area of practice. The main focus of this role is to support service improvement within the Quality Assurance and Improvement Team by identifying areas for improvement and highlighting good practices through audits.Key ResponsibilitiesCollaboration and Support: Work alongside another Key Link Officer in the Children in Care Services area, which includes the Children in Care Team, Future Directions, Fostering Service, and Residential Services.Audit Coordination: Assist in organizing case file audits, including selecting cases, distributing to auditors, collecting returned audits, and filing them according to current procedures.Feedback Collection: Support the collection of feedback from children, young people, and families regarding the services they receive from Childrens Social Care in Barnsley.Practice Development: Assist senior colleagues in analyzing audit findings, reviewing policies and procedures, and developing protocols to promote ongoing professional development among practitioners.DIP Sampling: Conduct DIP sampling for specific service topics, analyze data in conjunction with other audit activities, and identify trends and areas for improvement.Quality Improvement: Capture and analyze audit information to identify areas of improvement within each service area in compliance with policies, procedures, and statutory requirements.Service Support: Provide support to the Children in Care service, including Children in Care, Future Directions (Care Leavers), residential services, and fostering services.Work Prioritization: Aid senior colleagues in prioritizing, allocating, planning, and reviewing work to ensure it aligns with policies, procedures, statutory requirements, and budget management while maximizing service efficiency.Service Evaluation: Contribute to service monitoring and evaluation, needs analysis, resource availability review, and the development of practices, policies, and strategies to ensure high-quality services.Case Management: Manage complex cases, focusing on planning, review, promoting independence, early intervention, and self-directed support to reduce risks and improve service users quality of life within set timelines.Ofsted Support: Assist the Quality Assurance and Improvement Team with Ofsted-related activities, including compiling information for the evidence bank and supporting the Local Authority during Ofsted visits.Additional Responsibilities: Support any other audit activities assigned to the Quality Assurance and Improvement Service.Referral BonusWe offer a 300 referral bonus for any candidate you refer who is successfully placed in this role.How to ApplyIf you are interested in this opportunity or know someone who would be a great fit, please contact us directly at 020 8152 8922.Eden Brown Synergy is an equal opportunities employer.Eden Brown Limited is a limited company registered in England and Wales with registered number 3643845.
