Detailed Description From Employer:

Reporting to the Lead Project Quality Manager of the project, ensuring effective implementation of project assurance for the entire package in the different locations where the key components will be manufactured and assembled. Overall, implement the QMS and requirements into the specific project package management and documentation. This will include assisting with all aspects of Quality Management from implementing the system, leading and coordinating different sites quality resources, document reviews, preparing/reviewing technical specifications, auditing suppliers, coordinating inspections, inspecting products and works, attending FAT’s where necessary and reporting on project performance. The WTG quality manager will provide support and guidance to the package team, sites’ quality team and also include providing practical advice and support to the project team to ensure consistent methodology is being applied and understood by the WTG supplier. The WTG quality manager will lead the package quality organization deployed in the main supplier’s sites and will liaise with the WTG quality specialists assigned to the WTG package. As part of Quality organization, the WTG package manager will support the WAK quality organization in order to ensure the compliance of WAK quality specifications overall.

Key Tasks Responsible for the maintenance of the Quality Management System (QMS) and for the Project Quality Plan in relation to the package quality matters. Provide training to project personnel to promote the requirements and benefits of the project QMS. Ensuring the quality of deliverables, materials / product and services across all phases of the package (i.e audit(qualifying a supplier)), design, manufacture, installation, commissioning and handover), including continuous assessment to the QA/QC as a part of the QMS. Lead and coordinate quality site Inspectors in the different locations where the WTG and its components will be manufactured, attending to supplier project weekly and monthly meetings.
• Coordination of inspections in different locations. Provide quality control to our supplies and contractors, including reviewing technical specifications, records and Tenders. Responsible to liaise with the package verification body on the package (if applicable), attending all the inspections and answering any Technical Query related to quality Assist with the implementation and maintenance of the Quality Management Systems. Implement, promote and measure performance to achieve quality goals on the project. Creating a quality culture throughout the project team and other stakeholders. Embed a consistent and controlled approach to any works throughout the project team e.g. engineering, procurement, construction etc. Embed a consistent approach and quality level of performance and practice in WTG supplier. Ensure WTG final dossier is fulfilling project and O&M requirements and is consistently presented. Ensure fundamental project reference documents are in place, monitored, updated and communicated on a regular basis e.g. Project Quality Plan. Work effectively across multi-disciplinary teams to introduce new offshore wind products and improvements. Define, based on the work to be done in the Project, the suppliers or subcontractors with whom a quality kick off meeting, will be necessary. Update, create or facilitate the creation of standard quality specifications to be issued to suppliers to ensure customer, regulatory or other requirements are being met. Inspecting and auditing internal and external parties as required.
• Working to the company methodology for equipment categorisation and inspection regimes. Deliver works to customer, legal and other requirements (standards etc) Working closely with Document Control to establish, maintain and improve document/record keeping. Ensure that the communications with the suppliers are in accordance with the Document Control methodologies, maintaining a comprehensive traceability. Ensure that the quality documentation and quality reports are produced, verified or reviewed by competent personnel. Ability to integrate with and influence project teams consisting of various parties. Highlight any quality training required across the project team. Support with the delivery of training where possible. Ensure that the site Inspectors are provided with the necessary equipment, resources and instructions, including access to the relevant project procedures, reports and documentation. Ensure a mechanism is in place to capture defective works and monthly reports are produced. Supervising technical staff for inspection and tests.
• Assist with preparation of regular management systems reports. Bring staff of different disciplines together to drive the company / project plan, methodology, quality goals etc. Assist with the maintenance of the company’s quality inspection and product release programs for raw and in process materials and components, processes and finished goods.
• Maintain awareness of the wider project and business goals and encourage a balanced approach to Quality. Reviewing and reporting on project performance internally and externally. Taking early action to improve works and support the delivery of wider business goals. Maintain and encourage a high standard of Health & Safety.
