Key Responsibilities:
- Lead a team of Quality Assurance Assistants and manage technical/quality teams.
- Drive decision-making using data to make commercially sound technical decisions.
- Ensure compliance with EU and UK food legislation and deliver safe, legal, and quality products.
- Manage supplier relationships through KPIs and technical review processes.
- Deliver projects on time and drive business change in a fast-paced environment.
- Communicate effectively at all levels within the business and across the supply chain.
- Respond to market changes with strong commercial and customer awareness.
- Oversee new product development and manage product safety and crisis incidents.
Key Skills:
- Science Degree Level 3 HACCP or equivalent.
- Extensive technical experience in Retail, Manufacturing, Food Service, or Quality Assurance.
- Current experience in a Technical/Quality Management position.
- Experience managing a Technical/Quality team.
- Ability to meet customer needs through innovation.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.

This will be supported by your strong industry network. The ideal candidate will have a good track record of delivering projects on time and driving business change and you will have previously demonstrated your ability in a fast-paced, cross functional/ FMCG environment. Your New Role

Leading a team of Quality Assurance Assistants, you will be a strong people manager with excellent leadership skills. Good communication is key, as you will need be required to influence at all levels within the business and across the supply chain. The Quality Assurance Manager position is key in underpinning our future growth. Using data to drive decision making is part of our DNA and this will be one of your core strengths to be able to make commercially sound technical decisions. You will have an in-depth understanding of EU and UK legislation relevant to your areas and be able to demonstrate competency to deliver safe, legal and quality products to meet the needs of our customers. This will be supported by your strong industry network and track record of delivering projects on time and driving business change. As an experienced Technical Manager, you will have previously demonstrated your ability in a fast-paced, cross functional/ FMCG environment. Your ability to show sound commercial and technical decision-making will be critical to this role.
About You
Science Degree Level 3 HACCP or equivalent
Extensive technical experience in Retail, Manufacturing, Food Service or Quality Assurance
Currently holding a Technical/Quality Management Position
Experience of managing a Technical/Quality team
Experience of meeting customers’ needs through innovation
Demonstrating the ability to respond to market change with strong commercial and customer awareness
New product development experience
Product safety and crisis and incident management
Effective supplier management including management through KPIs and technical review process
Used to driving business change at pace in current and/ or previous roles
Confident communicator: written and verbal

12-month Fixed Term Contract
Monday to Friday, 8:00am to 5pm, with the opportunity of remote working up to 2 days per week
