Summary: The Quality Assurance Engineer role at Morson involves supporting the Operations team to ensure the timely delivery of high-quality products that meet customer expectations and regulatory standards. Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the Operations team in delivering products on time and to quality standards.
  • Conduct data analysis and utilize Excel for quality assessments.
  • Implement root cause analysis to reduce customer escapes and concessions.
  • Ensure compliance with internal processes and external regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain a clean and safe working environment and organize 5S initiatives.
  • Adhere to the group Quality Management System and regulatory standards.
  • Prepare for and contribute to external audits with customers and regulatory bodies.
  • Schedule and manage product and process audits, addressing non-conformances.
  • Develop and lead customer escape prevention and concession reduction plans.
  • Apply key quality tools such as PFMEA, Gauge R&R, 8D, and SPC.
  • Prepare Quality plans for new products and customers.
  • Ensure accurate completion of first article (FAI/PPAP) reports.
  • Support operations in eliminating waste in production processes.
  • Operate within the Quality budget.

Key Skills:

  • Engineering related Degree or HNC, or equivalent experience.
  • Quality assurance experience in a technical and/or manufacturing environment.
  • Complex problem-solving skills and experience in delivering improvement projects.
  • Experience with key quality tools (PFMEA, 8D, 6 Sigma).
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Experience in Quality planning for new product introductions.
  • Knowledge of Aerospace quality standards and regulations.
  • Working knowledge of French is beneficial but not essential.

Morson are seeking a highly motivated Quality Assurance Engineer to support our Operations team in delivering high-quality products on time and in line with customer expectations and regulatory standards. In this role, you will be instrumental in driving quality improvements, reducing customer escapes and internal/external concessions, and supporting the implementation of robust quality and continuous-improvement tools.

Job description

  • To support the Operations team in delivering products on time and to the quality standards required by our customers
  • Data Analysis experiece and understanding of Excel
  • Root Cause Analysis experience
  • To continually reduce customer escapes, internal and external concessions and the overall cost of non-quality through the application of appropriate Quality and continuous improvement tools.
  • To ensure compliance with internal processes and procedures and external customer and regulatory requirements
  • Maintain a clean, organised and safe working environment and organise 5S initiatives
  • To ensure adherence to the group Quality Management System and compliance to the national and regulatory requirements including ESAA Part 21, EN 9100 and NADCAP
  • To prepare for and contribute to external audits with Customers and regulatory bodies
  • To schedule and manage product and process audits and any resultant non conformances and corrective actions
  • To develop and lead customer escape prevention plans
  • To develop and lead concession reduction plans
  • To apply key quality tools such as PFMEA, Gauge R&R, 8D, SPC and to support others in the application of these tools.
