Summary: The QA Automation Engineer role involves joining a digital transformation programme within a major UK telecommunications organization, focusing on automation testing and Agile delivery. Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with developers, BAs and product owners to understand requirements, user stories and acceptance criteria
- Design and execute manual and automated test cases
- Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, stand-ups and sprint reviews
- Analyse business requirements and ensure appropriate test coverage
- Perform automation testing using Python-based frameworks
- Identify defects and work closely with development teams to resolve issues
- Support regression, integration and release testing activities
- Contribute to continuous improvement of testing processes
- Assist in test planning, estimation and reporting
Key Skills:
- Experience working in a Software QA / Testing role
- Understanding of Agile methodologies and SDLC
- Experience using JIRA and Confluence
- Experience with automation testing frameworks
- Knowledge of Python automation frameworks (e.g. PyTest)
- Exposure to API testing tools such as Postman
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced Agile environment
