Summary: Our client is looking for a DQA Engineer for a freelance B2B contract lasting 6 months, with the possibility of extensions. The role involves a hybrid working arrangement of 3 days on-site in Belfast and 2 days remote, focusing on quality assurance for data pipelines, APIs, and ETL workflows. The ideal candidate should possess strong experience in these areas, particularly within financial services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and execute test plans for complex data workflows, including functional, integration, and regression testing.
- Ensure quality assurance for data pipelines, APIs, and ETL workflows.
- Utilize modern testing methodologies such as TDD and BDD.
- Implement test automation frameworks and scripting languages.
- Conduct data validation techniques, schema checks, and data integrity testing.
- Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines and DevOps workflows.
- Collaborate with developers, data engineers, and business analysts.
- Adhere to Agile software delivery and QA best practices.
Key Skills:
- Strong experience in quality assurance for data pipelines, APIs, and ETL workflows.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
- Hands-on experience with test automation frameworks (e.g., PyTest, Behave, unittest).
- Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python or Java.
- Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS preferred) and services like S3, Glue, Lambda, EventBridge, and Step Functions.
